Using the revolutionary technology provided by Perfecte’me we can contour the body and tighten and lift skin on the face using a variety of modalities: Cryolipolysis (fat freezing), Cavitation, HIFU, Shockwave and Radiofrequency.
Springwell Clinic is based in Marlow, a stone’s throw from Maidenhead, Cookham, Amersham and Beaconsfield and we offer our clients the latest in Fat Freezing technology to tighten lift the skin.
Fat freezing, or cryogenic lipolysis, is exactly like what it sounds – fat cells are frozen for a period of time in the aim to reduce them, and it’s a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. It originated after research was done into frostbite, and it was noted that fat cells would freeze before skin freezes. As it’s a procedure done by a professional, it can selectively target anywhere, such as tummy, thighs, or arms, so that the client can choose their problematic areas. Clients are required to lie in a comfortable position while cooling paddles suction the skin and reduce the temperature to -5c This initially feels quite cold but then feels warm or for some people a little numb. If done safely by a professional, fat freezing can indeed help you lose fat. However, as with many cosmetic treatments, results can vary from person to person, and it may take up to 12 weeks for the full affects to become apparent. Fat freezing won’t make you lose heaps of weight, but when you lose hard to shift pockets of fat that spill over the top of your pants or your bra, that’s what counts. As we anticipate you losing 20-25 % of the fat with each treatments, a course is recommended but your aesthetician will discuss this with you at your consultation.
You will have photographs taken wearing your underwear and be weighed before each session so progress can be seen. Weight loss is not anticipated but maintaining your weight or losing some will help the results.
One of the unwanted side effects of losing fat is the you lose the support in your skin. Younger skin will often tighten on its own but if the area has already been stretched i.e. after pregnancy or a large weight loss, the skin doesn’t shrink back so you may have some loose or sagging skin. Your aesthetician will suggest treatments that can be done alongside or after the course of treatment. These treatments may include High Intensity Focussed Ultrasound (HIFU) or radiofrequency (RF).
Fat freezing is one of the body contouring treatments available at Springwell. It is ideal for targeting stubborn, larger pockets of fat, such as around the abdominal and hip and outer thigh area. Freezing causes fat cells to die or become so irrevocably damaged that they can no longer function, after which they are removed naturally by the body over a period of 2–3 months. Cavitation is an inch-loss treatment using ultrasound waves to release stored fat from fat cells, after which it is naturally processed by the liver. It is a non-invasive and pain-free, and results are often seen immediately after treatment. It is usually combined with Radiofrequency and Shockwave as part of a body contouring course, to reduce inches and improve the appearance of cellulite. Radial Shockwave technology has been proven to enhance and accelerate inch loss and skin tightening, and improve the appearance of cellulite by lymphatic drainage. It can be used alone in a course of treatments, or combined with Cavitation, Cryolipolysis and Radiofrequency. Book your Free Consultation if you would like to find out more.
Radiofrequency produces firmer, more youthful looking skin by stimulating the body’s own production of collagen and smoothing the fat layer under the skin. The treatment is ideal for tightening and rejuvenating the face, as well as improving crepey abdominal skin (the typeical “mummy tummy”), thighs, buttocks and arms, and forms part of our cellulite treatment programme along with Shockwave. It is a safe, non-invasive procedure that is clinically proven to help smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger looking appearance. HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is used on the face, neck and decolletage to lift and tighten sagging, lax skin. Ultrasound energy is directly focused at the muscle boundary, deep under the skin, where it heats and wounds it, stimulating the body’s natural renewal process, causing it to firm and tighten. This is the deepest level of treatment possible without surgery. The skin’s surface remains intact during the process. Book your Free Consultation if you would like to find out more.
HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is used for targeted fat removal on the body. The technology used for the face is the same, but the the target layer is the subcutanoeous fat under the skin. It can be used under the buttocks as part of a recontouring (Perfecte Peach) treatment programme, and is also very effective on the outer thighs, abdomen and backs of arms. I recently attended Springwell Clinic in Marlow for a skin tightening treatment and was immediately put at ease by my therapist. Her professionalism and knowledge was apparent as she carefully explained the procedure I was about to undertake. Although I was slightly apprehensive, her calm demeanour reassured me throughout the treatment. I found my whole experience at Springwell to be professional, relaxing and thoroughly worthwhile, especially as there was a significant change in my waist measurements... after 1 treatment a loss of 18cm!
