An advanced micro-medical needling procedure to give smoother, younger looking skinVIEW TREATMENT >
We all desire unblemished, even-toned, healthy looking skin but over time we get red veins and pigment that appear; sometimes it feels they’ve appeared overnight! Sun damage is responsible for causing most of these blemishes and accelerated skin ageing. Photorejuvenation is a very effective treatment for the reduction of facial redness and flushing, rosacea, facial veins and pigment. It can be used to treat any area of the face or body that has been affected by these conditions. It also gives the added benefit of a boost to the collagen in the area that is treated.
All skin types can be treated; however, if you have recently been in the sun, we advise waiting for two weeks. We do not treat women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
3-5 treatments are usually required, with a space of 4 weeks between each treatment; however, the number of treatments will be discussed during your consultation. An annual treatment is a good way to maintain your results. There is a requirement for you to use a good SPF of 30-50 for the duration of your treatment period.
If you are being treated for pigment, it will darken for a few days before breaking up and reducing in colour so plan your treatments around any social events. You may also get mild bruising, although this is uncommon, and some mild swelling. Please tell us of any medication you may be taking as some can make you more sensitive to sunlight and put you at risk of getting a small burn.
I'm fair skinned and have always loved the sun and now I'm forty five, it's showing in my skin and I have little red veins and big brown freckles over my nose, cheeks and across my chest. I went to see Springwell after a recommendation from a friend and it was explained how the treatment would help to rejuvenate my skin and make it look smoother. I had one treatment on Friday and it felt warm but not uncomfortable. I can't wait to see the results now.
Before you commence any treatment at Springwell Clinic you will have a free of charge consultation with your practitioner. This gives you the time to discuss all aspects of the treatment programme and its’ costs. A medical history is taken and a plan is created so that you are fully informed and aware of your journey ahead.
